HERO needs Equipment to RespondStatistical studies indicate that the long-overdue "Big One" will result in 10 - 15 residents needing hospitalization, 200 to 300 requiring First Aid, and one major fire. Local hospitals say it may be 1 to 3 days before they can take new patients. Therefore HERO will need Life-Support equipment in addition to fire containment, rescue and First Aid equipment.
Funding for HERO's initial training equipment and supplies were acquired via a $3000 grant from Hilltop Neighbors Association and a $2000 loan from founder Bill Pope. HERO now needs to acquire additional equipment and supplies to serve you.
